The Joe Pye Weed was higher than my head, making it harder to capture the butterflies, but it made a pretty background.
Beautiful capture! I haven't seen one of them in a few summers now. We had a real bad summer with almost no butterfly's!!
Oh no, too much rain, or too warm? We are seeing fewer and fewer though the skippers still seem to be plentiful.
Spring felt like summer and after that it looks like we skipped summer and went into autumn much too early. Summer felt like autumn with only a few days of good weather followed by heavy thunderstorms. We had lots of rain also, too much to be good. Only a few hot summer days, the rest was much too cold and wet. So we didn’t have enough sunshine to get the energy we need to get through autumn and winter. I guess there are going to be a lot of sick people this winter!!
That makes winter seem even longer than usual. We've occasionally had years like that, it seems like it takes forever for nice weather to come again. But it always does!
I'm sure autumn will make up for it. But Luc has to work all the time, even during the weekend and long hours for 6 to 8 weeks non stop, so I will have to go out on my own if possible.
That's too bad, he will miss your adventures... I hope you can get out just the same. Is your mother interested in nature walks? I have the same problem, not too many people that would enjoy what I do...
Looks amazing! Beautiful butterfly!
Nice one, I like its wings.
nice one barbara
